About us
Founded with the belief that the performing arts should be accessible, empowering, and deeply personal, BBATA has become a home for adults and scholars who want to learn, create, and express themselves.
From drama and musical theatre to dance and vocal training, our academy offers a supportive environment where beginners and experienced performers alike can refine their craft. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for nurturing confidence, technique, and artistry. Our teachers bring professional industry experience and a passion for guiding students as they discover their voices and step into their potential. At BBATA, every class is more than a lesson — it’s a journey of creativity, discipline, and self-expression.
What we offer
Adults
Our adult classes are designed for those who want to explore or return to the performing arts in a supportive and inspiring environment. We offer group drama, musical theatre and a full range of dance styles including Broadway jazz, contemporary, hip hop and tap. Adults can also book private drama tutorials as well as singing and piano training. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced performer, our classes help you build confidence, develop technique and grow your creative expression at a comfortable pace.
Scholars
Our scholar classes provides a vibrant and structured space for young performers from Grade R to Grade 12. Students can train in drama, musical theatre, ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and tap, with additional options for speech and drama coaching as well as singing and piano tutorials. Saturday classes are also available. Every class is designed to develop confidence, discipline and imagination while giving students the opportunity to grow their performance skills in a nurturing environment.
